Podcasting
I am exploring the technology podcasting. Basically you can record your own voice with background music and effects so it's somewhat like a radio station but you can upload it online or publish it to a Cd and share it with other people. It's a audio diary of your thoughts! It's useful because who ever you are making the podcast for can access it at any time, not just when they get your permission. So if you were teaching a new lesson on a book you could record it and if your students missed anything they could access the lesson later. The first time i tried to use the technology it was difficult. I kept messing up, my recordings would get deleted or my music wouldn't record along with it. However once i took a break and came back to it i relaxed, took some time to play around and push buttons and it worked, and took not nearly as much time as the first time i tried. I would suggest anytime you have a question check and see if it is one of the help questions that apple has given you (in garage band) rather than just figuring it out yourself because that is muuuuch easier!!

I'm Courtney and am taking this class over the summer but attend Indiana University normally. So far i can't decide if i like summer classes but it's going pretty well! Well this is my first blog! But so far it seems like it could be pretty interesting to learn how to do all of this stuff! I just recently made a TWITTER and I love following people and groups like CNN and E! there, especially when they attatch interesting articles to their post. So far my blog has been pretty easy to create, which i wasnt expecting! The only tip i have is to do the quick tour first so you kindof know a litttle of whats going on! The links posted on the website are pretty intersting too, i never realized how helpful Blogging could be in a classroom!!
